Every commercial airline flight will generate a number of
reports, usually paper based that are completed by cabin and
flight crew. These will usually have some back office
process that feeds the data into other systems (sometimes
involving manual keying) and then they are filed.
The Voyage Information Capture System (VICARS) is a cost
effective and complete solution to capture flight reports or
any other type of form. It reads the print (including
hand print) and stores in a database, archiving the original
images. It comes with a set of pre-written reports to
analyse the data including Flight Status, Cabin Defect
Reports and Incident Reports allowing trending and analysis
over time.
